The National Police Association has awarded the Burke County, ND Sheriff’s Office a $1000.00 grant in support of BCSO Project Heart. Project Heart will obtain fitness and wellness equipment for deputies to utilize to maintain and improve mental, physical, and psychological wellness and health.
The Burke County Sheriff’s Office is headquartered in the county seat of Bowbells, ND. The department also serves Columbus, Flaxton and Lignite, representing a population of over 2,000. The Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge is a cultural feature (park) in Burke County.
