Disgraced Radical U.S. Attorney for Mass. Racheal Rollins Resigns

Disgraced former U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Racheal Rollins

Woo Hoo! I enjoy it any time I get to use the German word Schadenfreude because that’s what I am feeling. It means taking pleasure in someone else’s misfortune. I know that sounds despicable and perhaps would be if it didn’t involve someone, well…, so despicable.

I’m talking about the George Soros-funded, former Suffolk County (Boston) District Attorney, former U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts, Racheal Rollins. In early 2022, the Biden regime appointed this delightful bundle of jurisprudence in, the Boston Herald noted, “the coveted Massachusetts U.S. Attorney post….”

According to Newsweek, Rollins is resigning in the face of “wide-ranging allegations following two reports by federal watchdogs.”

Among other allegations, Inspector General Michael Horowitz investigated her for:

  • Sabotaging a Rival Campaign
  • Lying Under Oath to Investigators
  • Wading Into Partisan Political Races
  • Receiving Campaign Funds When Already Elected
  • Asking [Boston] Celtics for Free Tickets (Okay, I’m a Mass. native. I’ll admit, that’s gotta be a hard one to resist).

How bad do you have to be to have this federal regime investigate you into resigning for allegedly doing things some of her fellow partisan elected and appointed officials have reportedly done—some repeatedly?

Let’s look back at Rollins’s tenure in Boston before Biden elevated her.

From a previous NPA article, “In December 2018, the National Police Association (NPA) filed a complaint against the then-District Attorney-elect Rollins. Among other concerns, the NPA wondered how, as DA, her ‘default’ preference is not to prosecute them [criminals] for their unlawful conduct.”

Rollins campaigned for the “prosecutor’s” officer touting a list of 15 crimes she would not prosecute, including resisting arrest.

Another NPA article headline declared, “Rollins lambasts public defenders for not fighting prosecutions hard enough.” But, with her as the prosecutor, how hard could that have been?

We also covered Rollins “decertifying” Boston area cops (mostly state troopers and BPD), so they could not testify in court based on her arbitrary criteria.

But most of this action negatively affected only cops, so they warrant no attention from the partisan political muckety-mucks or the media. However, Rollins allegedly did stuff that attracted the ire of the DOJ, so she became fair game.

Now, (insert Ode to Joy here), as the Herald reported, “Rollins’ attorney, Michael R. Bromwich, said Rollins would be submitting her resignation to President Biden by the end of the day Friday.”

During a recent interview on the Ingraham Angle, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark) told Laura Ingraham, “[S]he lied under oath about leaking sensitive DOJ information to the media.” [link added] So often today, it’s not about what you do as much as who you are and who you do it to. The message is clear, forget the Constitution, just don’t piss off the federal agency you work for.

Still, while the federal regime has no problem charging and prosecuting their political enemies, Sen. Cotton lamented about “so many ethical violations in office in Boston that [you’d] expect [the Attorney] General [Merrick Garland] to refer [it] for prosecution. [Garland] declined [to] prosecute [Rollins] for lying to investigators.”

So, for now, her resignation is all that cops, and law-abiding people, have to schadenfreude, but we’ll take it. This may be a happy trend, though. In Missouri recently, George Soros-funded St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner also resigned in disgrace. She infamously prosecuted Mark and Patricia McCloskey (before she was removed from the case for alleged misconduct) for exercising their right to self-defense against a violent BLM mob, which Gardner refused to prosecute for crimes the radicals allegedly committed.

Then there’s San Francisco’s uber-leftist voters who recalled Soros-funded, radical Marxist DA Chesa Boudin.

Oddly, this trend is also seeing the seemingly impossible happening. The DOJ forcing out one of their own and perhaps the furthest left city in the U.S., forcing out the furthest left DA in the country.

There’s a lot more to do, but, at least, for today, cops can bask in the cascade of schadenfreude, with thanks to the German language.
