Oklahoma Criminal Defense Attorney Takes Disparaging Police Officers to New Low

On October 28, 2020, Tulsa Police Officer Jerad Lindsey died from complications related to the CCP virus. Officer Lindsey was also the Chairman of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). The Tulsa Police Department (TPD) announced: “It is with a heavy heart that the Tulsa Police Department confirms the passing of one of our active duty officers.”

According to the TPD, as reported by KRMG Radio, Officer Lindsey was 40 years old. He began his career with the TPD in 2005. This officer was especially concerned with his fellow officers’ wellbeing and rights. Aside from serving as the Tulsa FOP chairman, he was also vice president of the Oklahoma FOP. He leaves behind his wife Jennifer and their two boys.

In a statement, Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum, said, “My friend, Officer Jerad Lindsey, passed away today. Jerad loved the men and women of the Tulsa Police Department deeply. It drove his work as Chairman of the Fraternal Order of Police, and for him that work was not a job but a calling.” Bynum said. “My thoughts this morning are with his family. He loved time spent with them, and they have sacrificed much for his service to the city of Tulsa.”

So, Officer Lindsey seems like he was a good guy, right? A family man and dedicated police officer who served the people of Tulsa for 15 years. But, apparently, not everyone will miss him. A friend of mine from Oklahoma brought to my attention a criminal defense attorney in Tulsa by the name of Jeff Krigel. My friend messaged me, “Did you happen to see the attorney in Tulsa, celebrating the death of a beloved police officer?”

Yeah, that got my attention. It seems Krigel is no fan of cops. On his Facebook page, which has since been taken down, Krigel reportedly posted, “Another fat know it all abused his desk job is gone! Thank you COVID-19 at least something good could come out of all this. Blood and blue? Sounds like the Ss [SS-Nazis].

This charmer apparently issued a pallid apology, which you can find here but which I won’t waste space on this page or your time inserting the quote. Despite the opaque mea culpa, Krigel posted other evidence of his obvious hatred for Tulsa’s Finest and, it seems, for all cops. In a response to someone obviously mourning Officer Lindsey, Krigel posted, “I’m sorry you loved Betty Shelby’s bag man so much jimmy. Literally the man had to higher [sic] the murderous cop’s attorney team. That’s what he does at fop president. They are the mafia behind the very thin blue line.” Does this man have a soul?

His comment was in reference to a TPD officer, Betty Shelby, who was acquitted for a controversial 2016 officer-involved shooting. I don’t know what kind of demons Krigel is battling, but it has to be toxic when you have that kind of hate oozing from your pores. However, Krigel’s words don’t diminish a great officer like Jerad Lindsey. In fact, the poision this attorney spews about law enforcement officers says a whole lot more about him than it does about cops.
