The NPA defends law enforcement agencies, officers, their supporters and the public in court. In addition to filing our own lawsuits and FOIA requests, the NPA reviews lawsuits with the potential to create negative results for public safety, officer safety, and constitutional rights. In those cases the NPA enters the case as a friend of the court to file legal briefs providing support for all who would be harmed by an adverse ruling.
The NPA provides tools to local law enforcement such as legal backing, public education, and #SupportThePolice messaging via mobile and static billboards, Public Service Announcements, Thank You cards, Reward Program, and Media Interviews.
Your City Council needs to hear from you. In conjunction with our Broken Windows national radio PSA, we have launched a national mail campaign to recruit signers for a #petition showing support for Quality of Life (Broken Windows) policing, which will be delivered to petitioners’ local governments.
